Back on the trail this Friday! I am looking forward to this so much. Do we need to check Equipment? Tent? Sleeping bags? Food? Christopher is still coming with us. I need to go to Hudson Outfitters and get him some Hiking Boots.
I announced my retirement from the United States Air Force this week. I will be retiring on or about 30 July, and yes there will be a party.

Tent, probably. I don't know if Rob is coming yet. If so, it might be just as well to bring my big tent (and we'll divide it up). I don't think I'll bring my sleeping bag, but I will be bringing my pad. And maybe a blanket or something. We have breakfast food for one morning, and I'll check my food supply for dinners. This is going to be fun. 30% chance of rain both days. Highs in the mid-80s, and lows around 60.
I just checked, and I have 3 Mountain House meals and 1 Marine Cuisine (same company as Mountain House). I also have one packet of jerky and a box of PowerBars.
Rob isn't coming with this weekend. He has a softball game on Sunday at Noon, so he decided it wasn't worth it to drive out just for one day.
So, if you bring the stakes for his tent, I'm bringing the tent, as well as my little bivy tent. I think you have the 2 bacon & eggs left over from last time, and I got another one.
My current plan is to meet up with you after I get off work, and drive out, or we'll meet in Centreville or Warrenton or somewhere.
